Follow Friday - Movie adaptations

Follow Friday is a feature created by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  It's a fun blog hop where you meet other book bloggers and find people to follow.
Are there any book to movie adaptations where you think the movie is better than the book?
Okay, I feel blasphemous for even saying this, but I've said it before. As much as when I originally read the Hunger Games books I loved them, when I read them a second time I found myself mocking them somewhat.  But the first Hunger Game movies was so well done.  It made Katniss more relatable and likable than the book did.  In some ways, especially for non-YA readers, it was better than the book.

Hi, I'm a new follower using GFC! I liked the Hunger Games books more than the movie, but I liked the movie a lot too. I thought it was very well done! Happy Blogging! Barb @

I have only read the Hunger Games once, but the movie is one of the few I really enjoyed!
Have a great weekend!

I haven't read the Hunger games but I've seen a couple people say they thought the movie was better, or at least close. I think the second movie looks interesting, so now I'm wondering if i should just read those so I can compare them properly. :)

Hopping through. I prefer the Hunger Games books, but I thought the movie was great. Lots of people prefer the movie though.

I never bothered to reread THG after Mockingjay came out. I was kinda just done with the books, I guess. Once the movie came I thought it was alright, but I didn't understand all the people going crazy about it! I think I'm rather indifferent when it comes to the book and movie even though I loved it as a kid.
